Who we are

Magenta Momz Inc. is a Georgia 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 87-2116457) based in Atlanta, Georgia. This policy explains how we handle information when you use magentamomz.org (the "site").

Information we collect

Information you give us

When you fill out our contact form, request support, sign up for our newsletter, donate, or buy our magazine, you may share your name, email address, phone number, and any details you choose to include in your message.

Sensitive information

Our support request form may ask about your family and your needs so we can help. Please share only what you are comfortable sharing. We treat this information with care and use it only to support you.

Information collected automatically

We use two analytics tools. Cloudflare gives us simple, cookieless counts of how many people visit. Google Analytics tells us more, like which pages people read and how they found us, and it does use cookies. We turned this on so we can see whether our Google Ad Grant is reaching the moms who need us. Both tell us general things in aggregate, like which pages are popular and what kind of device people use. Neither is set up to identify you personally, and we do not use them to build advertising profiles about you.

If you would rather not be counted, you can turn on Do Not Track or use your browser's private mode, and many ad blockers will also block Google Analytics. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.

Payments

Donations are processed by Donorbox and Stripe, and magazine purchases are processed by Stripe. They handle your payment details directly. We never see or store your full card number. Your payment is also covered by their privacy policies (Donorbox, Stripe).

Other services we use

To run the site and our programs, we rely on a few trusted services. When you interact with them, their privacy policies also apply:

• Cloudflare hosts the site and provides cookieless analytics.
• Google Analytics shows us how people find and use the site, so we can see whether our ads are reaching the right people.
• Google Forms powers our contact and support request forms.
• Donorbox and Stripe process donations and purchases.
• YouTube (in privacy-enhanced mode) hosts a video on our story page.

How we use your information

• To respond to you and provide support.
• To process donations and magazine orders.
• To send you updates and our newsletter, if you signed up.
• To understand and improve how the site is used.
• To meet our legal, tax, and accounting responsibilities.

How we share it

We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only with the service providers above so they can do their work for us, or when we are required to by law.

Your choices

If you receive our emails, you can unsubscribe any time using the link in the email or by contacting us. You can also ask us to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. To make any request, email us at info@magentamomz.org.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies so it can tell a returning visit from a new one. Our Cloudflare analytics do not use cookies. Some embedded services (such as Donorbox, Stripe, Google Forms, and YouTube) may set their own cookies when you interact with them, under their own policies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time, and this site will still work.

Keeping your information

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes described here, or as long as the law requires.

Children

This site is meant for parents, caregivers, and adult supporters. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
